Bill Nye is an American science communicator, mechanical engineer, and television presenter best known as the host of the educational series Bill Nye the Science Guy (1993–1998). He earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Cornell University, worked as an engineer early in his career, and has since authored books, produced science programming, and been a public advocate for climate science and science education.
