Critical Mass Big Band has been active for nearly 25 years under the musical direction of Ian Basques-Jellison, featuring an expanded horn section and rhythm section and noted for high-energy live programs. Sugartime Trio (Kim Maguire, Meg McLynn, and Caitlin Frances) formed circa 2016 and specializes in tight three-part vocal harmonies of classic swing and modern arrangements; the two groups have toured and presented collaborative programs arranged by bassist Phil Demaree.
