Formed June 10, 2022, Family Obligation is a four-piece band led by singer-songwriter Christie Dierk with Kevin Ryan (guitar), Kyle Lester (bass), and Micah Turney (drums). They have released multiple singles and the 2025 album Prior Commitments and issued an official music video for "Ghost Situation." The band runs a Bandcamp/Linktree for merch and streaming links and performs regionally in DIY venues.
