Founded in 1945 by Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili, the company (often called Sukhishvilebi) established and popularized Georgian national dance on the world stage. It has toured internationally to major venues and remains led and managed by members of the Sukhishvili family, preserving a repertory of traditional Georgian dances and original folk-ballet works.
