Elmer “Sonny” Lim is a Hawaiian slack-key and lap steel guitarist from the Lim musical family who grew up in Kohala (Waimea) on the Island of Hawai?i. He played steel guitar with the Makaha Sons of Ni?ihau in the late 1970s, appears on Grammy-winning slack-key compilations, and his solo album Slack Key Guitar: The Artistry of Sonny Lim received a Grammy nomination; he is also a multiple N? H?k? award winner who performs internationally.
