Curator’s Fellowship: Samoanizing Cricket

Join us for a special Fall program as MOHAI’s 2026 Curator’s Fellow, Aliyah Adelita Siva, explores the history of Samoan migration to Seattle, Washington, during the 1980s and how they navigate these changes through the game of Cricket, or Kilikiti. Through her research in MOHAI’s collections and beyond, Aliyah will examine how Samoans built community through the Samoan Cricket League and navigated migration through religious means, from which Cricket stems.
