A muscle car purrs at idle, humbly coated in grease, smelling of gasoline, it clicks and whines in revolution, betraying its ungodly power to resist the draw of gravity with explosive torque. Arlan Lackie's acoustic guitar is this kind of machine: a wood and wire hot rod he combines with deadpan vocal delivery that you can feel in your chest.
